Tax Bill LD 1925 Dead for now. . . will likely return in the fall.

 Dated June 14, 2007: As you all know by now, there is a new bill, LD 1925 that was introduced and passed by the House on Wednesday, June 13. This bill is being promoted as a law that would reduce taxes for Maine citizens. MeSSA and SSA object to self storage being included with other “services”.  We do not belong in this bill. Self storage is the rental of real property, not a service such as the other named industries in this bill.
